Norash Beauson is a chestnut stallion and was the first Welsh Mountain Pony at Amilas joining us in October 1994 at 5 months old from his breeder Sharon Scott. He is sired by supreme champion Knodishall Beaufort (full brother to Knodishall Geraint, now in Holland, 3/4 brother to Idyllic Fonteyn 2005 RWAS Champion) who was successfully shown as a youngster (1st Lampeter, 2nd RWAS) and young stallion before being exported to Argentina. K. Beaufort in turn is by RWAS Winner and breed legend Pendock Legend. Norash Beauson's dam, Fronbach Cariad, is from the very successful Fronbach 'C' line and bred a top prize winning filly for Fronbach Stud before being sold. 

Norash Beauson is known at home as 'Pickle' he is undoubtedly the favorite and he knows it! He has been a fantastic introduction to the Welsh Mountain Pony. As well as an outstanding temperament, his conformation and movement have ensured his success both in the show ring himself and as sire of prize winning stock.

Lightly shown as a 2 year old it was a case of the blind leading the blind and was a very step learning curve for both of us but learn we did and his wins included Market Bosworth Agricultural Show. In 1997, as a 3 year old, his show career took off:

	3rd Northleach Welsh Breeds

He hasn't looked back since. Shown once in 1999, produced from home he was third in the Novice Stallion class Glanusk Welsh Stallion Show and finally reaching the open Stallion Classes in 2001, he achieved the following:

 

	1st & Midland Premier Stallion Champion- Midland Welsh Pony and Cob Society
	1st NPS Area 20
	1st South Eastern Welsh Pony and Cob Society
	2nd Ponies UK Summer Championships

2002 was just as successful, with Pickle produced from home and shown by whoever was available, Barry Shepherd, Pete Rushton and when I had to, myself (can't run fast enough!).

In 2003 he reverted back to his role as my teacher and accompanied me into the ring at a number of shows I have never been brave enough to attempt before.
