Melody is a grey mare, foaled in 1998
and bred by Wendy
Merryman. She is a direct female decendant of Lady Greylight, who also formed
the foundation of the Clan "P" and Coed Coch "P" lines, and
has over 20 crosses of Lady Greylight, through Owain Glyndwr, Winestead Zenia,
Winestead Larina, Clan Pip and Wentworth Mentor (7/8 brother to Owain Glyndwr).

Bought when only a few weeks old, she joined us in October 1998 having had an
excellent season when shown as a foal at foot:

As a 4yo she was only shown once in hand,
the main focus being her ridden career, however despite being one of the
youngest in a very large class she was:
| 1st Ponies UK Summer Championships 2002 |
 Under saddle, ridden Leandra Rushton and
led by Pete Rushton Melody qualified for the 2002 Ponies UK Lobsterpot Final and
was 3rd at the National Pony Society Summer Championships. Having proved herself
in-hand and under saddle Melody finally joined our broodmare band and had her
first foal, a beautiful grey filly, in 2004.
