Amilas Ty Gwyn, known at home as Lili, is the first pony born with the Amilas prefix.

Sired by our stud stallion Norash Beauson and out of Castlemead Imogen she is bred to perform.

Lili was born late in September 1998 but being a late foal hasn't held her back in the showring. Shown only once as a yearling she beat ponies of all ages to win a large Open Mountain and Moorland class. As a two year old she was well placed at the Home Counties, Southern and Eastern Welsh Association shows.

In 2002 Lili was broken to ride, initially as a Lead rein pony but her huge movement suggested her future was off the Lead Rein so she was sent to Carol Isaac at Penclose Stud where she was shown once being placed second in a PUK Kingsford qualifier and was then sold to Penny Francis for her daughter Catherine to ride. During the year she was successfully shown in First Ridden and Open ridden classes.

In February 2003, almost outgrown by Catherine, Lili was on the market again and I am delighted to say She came home. S
he went to Rebecca Jarvis who had done such a fantastic job with her 'off the lead' ridden work when she was broken in and following a summer of confidence building Lili started the 2003 winter season with some fantastic results in very good company (see the end of this page for full results and our News Page for latest results) qualifying for both her Ponies(UK) Winter Championship finals and ending the winter season being placed in both. She was placed 5th in the Llanarth Open Ridden M&M final in top company which included HOYS winners and Olympia best of breeds and was also placed in the Confined Novice final.

In July 2004 Lili moved to join her full sister Iona at Hirondelle Natives to be shown by Alex Hinchley in First Ridden and Junior ridden classes. When the time came for Lili to be sold on to a new family who could continue her ridden work all attempts to sell her met with strong opposition from Alex, for whom Lili had been fundamental in restoring her lost confidence and who am I to argue with a 9yo? Luckily Alex is also an expert in persuading her Mum and Lili became an official member of the Hinchley family in 2005

Good Luck with her Spuddie and keep sending the photos.
