Castlemead Imogen
Imogen was the foundation mare at 'Amilas'. She taught me so much during the time we owned her that her presence will be felt here for many years to come. Imogen was a snowy white mare, with huge expressive eyes. Just like the pony I dreamed of owning as a child. She was a full sister to the Castlemead Ponies Josephine, Knick Knack and Lovejoy all good performance ponies especially Lovejoy who excelled at dressage and is a 1/2 sister to Fayre Jessica a champion working hunter pony. Imogen's sire Winchfawr Anzac was a performance sire ratings winner. Imogen's dam, Castlemead Fizz was also a performance pony and sister to
Castlemead Quest a medal winner, Pollyanna a champion in hand and Starlight as
yet unshown all retained at Castlemead
stud. Stoatly Flashlight was the dam of Castlemead Gulliver who sired
Bockmer Winston a multiple champion in working hunter classes and winner at the
Welsh Pony and Cob Performance Show. Having left us three wonderful foals at Amilas, Imogen was put to sleep on 22nd December 2001, she had been ill for sometime and it all become too much for her, she finally up the fight.
